Love them Trailer Trash Toes!

Okay, so I know I've already posted one blog tonight, but I just had to get this off my chest...er....or I guess FEET!

I was at Walmart this evening in the automotive department in search of some carpet stain cleaner (two kids remember!). While scanning the isle for the best product on the market I noticed another younger man sort of pacing back and forth behind me...stopping every now and then but always looking down at the floor. He was sweating quiet profusely and looking extremely nervous...almost guilty. Not wanting to be rude I pretended to not notice and eagerly picked up bottles, reading labels and fidgeting with whatever I could but casually making my way to another isle. Sure enough he follows me continuing to do the same thing. This goes on for 5 minutes. When I really did find what I was looking for I guess it appeared I was paying more attention to the product than to him at this point. He then took that window of opportunity to make his move...he bent down like he was going to get something from the bottom shelf directly next to me and then he reached over and CARESSED MY FOOT! I kid you not! I was stunned...I just stood there, he just smiled and then casually said "Oh, I'm sorry!" and walked away. I can't make this shiz-nit up! Now I've heard of people with foot fetishes, but like the Lochness Monster or Courtney Love's bra, I just thought they were a myth. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought my trailer trash toes would fall victim to such a violation!

I'm scheduling an immediate pedicure first thing tomorrow morning...and when they ask if I would like the sea scrub I'm going to pull out a Brillo pad as well! So ladies with adorable piggy's...BEWARE. There is a man running loose in Walmart as we speak just waiting to fondle your tootsies!!!!

Our Fun-filled Weekend!

As I mentioned before we had our lil trip to Kansas City Missouri this past weekend. We left on Thursday and I could not have been more ready to get away!! All morning I was busy busy packing for all four of us. As I have learned in the past, my husband always waits until the last minute to do this...and for some reason always manages to get distracted while getting ready, thus taking us at least an hour or two to finally get out the door. I decided to go ahead and get it all ready and right by the front door so when he got home there would be no reason for any delays. However, Farryn was not enjoying her lack of undivided attention from me and was making it a point to be as difficult as she possibly could. By lunch time I was numb! The girl had worked every one of my nerves...and then, I HEARD IT...."Mama I'm gonna kick your ass!!! I'm gonna kick your ass with my cute shoe!!!" Can you believe it?! Where did she learn that? I've never said that, my husband has never said that so where on earth could my sweet baby girl pick up such language? I was more baffled than furious. I questioned her and she then admitted that she had picked up her sailor talk from some "mean guy" on the TV. GREAT! Once again I'm reminded what a terrible influence the TV and radio are these days. As soon as Jesse got home I let him in on what had happened and he immediately "took action" on the situation. He took Farryn to the other room and had a lil talk with with her. When she came back she ever so sweetly reached up to hug me and said "Mama, I'm sorry I was gonna kick your ass!" ;) I guess its a working progress!
The long drive to Missouri was not fun! Charlye, still teething, did not enjoy the car ride one bit. Three kids (we brought along Ryan, Jesse's 9 year old cousin) and two adults in one cramped pick up truck cab was not pleasant! The lack of sleep for both Jesse and myself did not help matters either. We were more than relieved when we finally got to Jeremy and Kim's house at 6:30 am Friday morning. After catching up on our zzz's our trip very quickly took a turn towards Happyville! Friday night the guys took the kids to go bowling and Kimberlee and I had a great time looking through all the baby clothes we had brought with us. Her little girl will probably never wear the same outfit twice with as many hand me downs she has gotten! On Saturday we had a blast at an indoor water park!!

He LOVED the slides!

Charlye's new camera smile. She can be extremely fussy but the minute she sees the camera she grins like this. Its adorable!

Saturday night we went to an all you can eat Mongolian BBQ restaurant. I have not been to one of those since I was a kid and Jesse was acting like a little boy in a candy shop. He had more fun than everyone else trying to come up with delicious stir fry meals of his own...four servings later he still agreed that mine was much better than any of the combinations he chose! ;) On Sunday we went to "Disney Land for Guys" A.K.A. Cabella's. Now I'm all for hunting as a sport but I was extremely creeped out by the number of stuffed dead animals that store had! And the scenes they had these animals in were all a little more than disturbing. I was perfectly comfortable with it at first until we reached the safari scene. I don't know if it was the lion attacking the baby zebra or the crocodile with the Wildebeest's neck in his mouth...maybe a combination of both but I was a little uneasy! Kim did a great job of quickly distracting Farryn by pointing out the "happy monkey" in the tree above us (being chased by the mangy leopard). I enjoyed our next stop much better!

Poor Moose!

The scary looking talking robot guy.

Our next place on the agenda was a restaurant/gift shop called TREX. It was a lot like the Rainforest Cafe but with dinasours. I was amazed!! We were unable to stay long though. Apparently Farryn found the mechanical T-rex more frightening than the stuffed animals at Cabella's. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted!!!

Farryn and Ryan

The drive home was very...interesting! Ryan and the girls were entertained by the movies we were watching and quickly fell asleep without much of a fight. I had two firsts...nearly hitting a deer and then witnessing a Tornado touch ground about a mile away from us. Both were extremely nerve wrecking! But luckily we made it back home safely. All in all my mother's day weekend was absolutely wonderful!

Jesse's card to me for Mother's Day

"There could never be a better catch in any body of water I drop my line in. Your love keeps me going forever!" If that's not a Hallmark I don't know what is! ;)

Whasssaaa Happenin'?

"Queen B" loved her birthday present! We had a blast at lake Somerville last weekend celebrating her day! It was soooo great getting out (childless) for the day and spending time with my girl friends...and our men! I love my kids don't get me wrong but a little adult time is important too! Thankfully we have dependable, willing grandparents who just LOVE baby sitting! My husband and I make it a point to have a date night at least twice a month. We're planning a little adult vacation to Garner in August as well and I'm anxiously awaiting! Add ImageI don't care what anyone says...the Guadalupe can't hold a candle to the Frio! There is just nothing quiet like that place!

Here on the home front...we're biting...everything! Well, I'm not, but my 6 month old is. Teething definitely has begun!!! It's been a very tiring day. Charlye girl is miserable and she's bringin' us all down with her! What were once sweet slobbery kisses on our faces have turned into slobbery gumming attacks! I know she can't help it but the drool is becoming a bit of a problem! I feel like I'm the new owner of a bull dog or a mastiff! She's been running a fever, and crying all morning long. It breaks my heart when my kids boo-boos can't be fixed with just a lil kiss! I'm really hoping this passes quickly. I want my smiling sweetheart back! Farryn has done a great job of staying out of trouble. I'm actually starting to worry...could this be the calm before the storm? I'll keep you posted...but keep your fingers crossed she's just being an angel for once and not my lil red headed devil waiting to make her move!!!

Speaking of biting...I FINALLY saw Twilight the other day and surprisingly I completely understand why every teenage girl and their mom (no joke, even my mom's friends are obsessed!) are so intrigued!! I'm completely hooked! Its "like my own personal brand of heroine!" ;) I sent out my husband immediately to buy the second book New Moon. I began reading it later that night and just couldn't stop! I stayed up till 5 in the morning just dying to know what happens. And I will admit, I cheated...I got so droopy eyed but so determined to know how it ended I snuck a look at the last page! But after a few cat naps I picked up where I left off and finished the whole thing in less than 2 days! Stephanie Meyer is absolutely amazing! I can't get over how someone can have such an imagination. I envy her for that! And the characters they chose for that movie could not have been a better fit for the characters she described in the book. They were just right on! I bought the third and fourth book today but I'm waiting on our 14 hour drive to Kansas City before I crack it open. Too much to do before we leave on Thursday to be sucked back in. My hubby was getting pretty tired of having to do all the laundry, cooking, cleaning and child rearing while my fingers and eyes were glued to that last book. He didn't complain...too much! He thinks its cute when I'm excited about something and I'm pretty sure he was happy that for once I was READING! It rarely happens unless its "BARBIE'S Great Adventures" or "Brown Bear Brown Bear" (which by the way I'm completely sick of!) Maybe this will give me a good excuse to get out doing some of the driving.... ;) I won't push my luck!

We're going to Kansas City to see my brother-in-law Jeremy and his adorably pregnant wife Kimberlee this weekend. I'm very excited! I love Kim, she's the best sister-in-law anyone could ask for! If only she lived closer!!! But we're working on that! Jesse and I would love for her and the baby to come live with us while Jeremy is deployed to Iraq (again!!!). Is that not sad? He will be gone for the second time with the Army and for the first year of his baby girl's life! I just don't see how that's fair! I can't even imagine what they must be feeling right now! So sad! We're gonna make the most of our little trip with them though and spend as much time as we can before he leaves. I get my Kim back though on May 30th for her baby shower at my house so maybe I'll just lock her in our spare room with all the baby gifts and refuse to let her leave. :) Doubt she would go for that but its worth a shot!
So thats all I've got happenin'. Thanks for stalking and take care! ;)

Queen B!

Or Queen A, or C...whatever you want! I've been having sooo much fun doing my own graphics I've decided to come up with cute decorative initials to make into pendants. Since I will be giving "Queen B's" birthday present to her in the morning I figured it was safe to go ahead and post pictures of the jewelry I've made for her! I'm really excited!!! I hope she loves it! These pendants can be worn on just a plain chain or with a stone necklace as shown below. I'm taking custom orders so email me at DoubleHHobbies@hotmail.com with details on what you're interested in! I can do all colors and have so many different stones to choose from! The initials may vary...I don't like to do the same thing twice!

Brandi's necklace/bracelet set! I like it so much I'm going to make myself one!

And earrings to match!

My BUBBLES!!!

I've been seeing these lately on the craft forums and was dying to try them out! So here it is...my handmade glass bubble magnets! I'm selling the whole box of 16 "Spring Blossom" magnets for $8.00. I'll be adding them to the website later tonight.

I'm in the process right now of making Farryn glittery alphabet magnets to help practice her ABC's! She's loving them so far!

When I can find some extra time in the next few weeks I'm planning on learning to solder so as soon as I get that art down I'll be making my own custom soldered bubble pendants and cowgirl collage shadow box pendants! Pray for me...I just know I'm gonna burn myself!

Holly-ness!

Here I go..."Throwin' seven different kinds of smoke!!!" ;) I was watching You, me and Dupree the other day suddenly decided to decorate a new diaper bag for myself! I don't know what it is but there is just something about any Kate Hudson movie that seem to spark my creativity! I once created 5 necklaces/bracelet sets while watching How to lose a guy in 10 days...for the eleventy-billion-th time!
I had been wanting a new diaper bag for sometime now but had not found the perfect one. My original bag was ridiculously expensive and custom made to match my lil' cowgirl's bedding from a lady on Ebay. I waited 6 weeks to finally get the thing in and within the first 20 minutes of using it the adorable decorative button (my favorite part of the whole bag) fell off! Problems with this oh so cute bag have been unraveling (literally) ever since! So the search began last week. I'm sooo picky when it comes to my accessories and since my husband refuses to carry a diaper bag anyways I wanted to go as girly as possible this time! I searched high and low, near and far and almost gave up! The first one I found that I actually liked was too small...the next one was too big...and then finally 2 days ago I found one that was juuuussssttt riiiggghhttt. But just BORING! So I got out my beads and crystals and WA-POW! Here is the result...

Each bead is indidually sewed on as well as secured with the toughest glue on the market! So fear not....these lil babies aren't going anywhere!

I'm still debating if I'll even add this to the website as an option to buy. I might take custom orders but I have no idea how much to charge for this... the beads alone to make it were well over $40.00 not to mention I had to endure and entire movie with that cutesy lil Kate in order to get this thing finished...it was just such a chore to make!! ;)
